EDGE of MIDNIGHT
Project type : Editorial Fashion & High Jewellery
Publication: InStyle Greece
Role : Creative Image Direction - Photography
overview
Edge of Midnight is an editorial fashion project exploring contemporary luxury through architecture, night, and presence. Conceived as a visual narrative rather than a simple fashion story, it positions haute couture and high jewellery within a cinematic, controlled environment. The series balances tension, silence, and elegance, creating images that resonate beyond the moment captured.
CREATIVE INTENT
The goal of this project was to construct a visual universe where fashion, jewellery, and architecture coexist in dialogue.
Rather than simply presenting the garments or accessories, the editorial emphasizes:
Presence over ornament: the model becomes a living form within the space.
Tension and stillness: contrasts between light and shadow, body and structure, night and urban geometry.
Architectural interplay: the raw volumes enhance the sculptural quality of the images.
Cinematic storytelling: each frame is conceived as part of a cohesive visual rhythm, creating suspense and depth.
CREATIVE DIRECTION & EXECUTION
Casting : Slavic model with blonde bob embodies elegance and subtle drama.
Styling : Haute couture and high jewellery complement architectural forms, emphasizing silhouette and light reflection.
Location : Nighttime in Paris, leveraging brutalist structures and open spaces.
Lighting : Controlled artificial and ambient light creates dramatic contrasts and deep shadows.
Image Composition : Precise framing and distance reinforce tension, elevate the garments, and maintain narrative flow across the series.
